Changing from DC Insurance to MD

Hi,

We have been struggling with infertility and will be going the IVF route. I work in DC but live in MD. I am currently on my work insurance, which does not cover IVF. Since it is MD open enrollment, I am considering changing over to the Carefirst BluePreferred PPO Gold plan in MD. My questions are, 1) Will insurance give me any issues trying to claim the fertility benefits if I changed over to a MD insurance just for that purpose? 2) Does anyone know what is the lifetime infertility coverage for Carefirst BluePreferred PPO Gold? If anyone has any experience changing from DC to MD plan, please let me know how it went.
