Will Space Force ever go to war? Anyone in the Space Force?

I’ll be honest, I’m not well informed about the Space Force. What are the actual duties? Will they ever be sent to war? Or to help out should war break out?

I have a teen who has interest in joining the Space Force. I’m attempting to become well informed about this branch.

They will be the front line forces if we're ever invaded by denizens of some planet in the Andromena Galaxy or whatnot.

There are currently only around 8,000 of them so if they did, it would be a pretty small war. My friend works for the space force and she's been deployed, but not to war zones.

Seek detailed information about NORAD, and you won’t find much because it’s all classified.

Now consider Space Force and the battlefield where they fight: you can’t really observe any of it.

Cannot be FOIA’d.

Can’t demand “embedded reporters.”

For all the public knows, Space Force could have been fighting a war since the day Trump created it. But you may never know.

The press will only “know” what information .mil chooses to release to the public, and that information has always been sparse.

Don’t expect to learn much of anything about Space Force or it’s activities against our enemies. That is the way it’s supposed to be.

I can't help but be suspicious if Trump created it, they likely used Russian connected contractors from the ground up to establish total surveillance over the new agency
