| The arrangement is to bring the child to the public library after school, where I can read to her, until her parent (who works downtown) comes to pick her up, at about 7PM. But Fridays are a problem, as the public library closes at 5PM. Going home is not an option due to distance, so what do you suggest as an alternative Friday pick-up point. Playgrounds are not a good option as the weather may not be conducive at times. |
| You read to a child at the library from 3-7pm every day but Fridays right now? This makes no sense. |
No, not at 3PM, at 5ish PM (after the afterschool daycare ends) |
| Is there a fast food place in the area with an indoor playground? |
| Fast food, Money Joes which is unlimited time. It depends where you are at. Movie? |
| You could go to a Starbucks or a university librarie nearby if there is any. Usually they are pretty ok with anybody coming in to study quietly. |
| OP, this seems like a horrible unfulfilling job. What do they pay you? Why do you stay? |
| hhmmmm are you the OP of the other post????? |
What other post? |

If there is a Barnes and Noble, they have a decent kids area. But tell the dad you need to buy at least one book or toy every once in a while.

It always amazes me how people on here can tie two people into two posts. I have always found this to be majorly creepy as this is an obvious sign one spends way too much time on this site. This forum is intended as a place to visit....Not act as a second home! |

You really think its that hard to notice a post copy and pasted into two different places? There aren't that many new things posted on this site daily and only a small number of forums. |
Public libraries are not free child care! |
