Huh? You do know this story is in the NYT and WAPO. Both CBS and NBC reported it tonight. Who is crying wolf?

why is anyone turning this into a political issue?

I'm ok with swapping prisoners for prisoners, but this POS needs to go to jail for deserting.

No courts martial, just straight to jail? How long should the US hold him for?

You do know that there are other Americans being held? Exchanging terrorists for a deserter just doesn't make sense to me.


I do agree that the WH appears tone deaf on this one. Did they not do their research? Seems they could have picked a better POW with much less baggage.

You do know that there are other Americans being held? Exchanging terrorists for a deserter just doesn't make sense to me.
