However, I could probably run a 5K in stilettos, and I will continue to wear them. Just because shoes look uncomfortable to some people, and some people don't like heels, doesn't mean you can't wear them. I've always been able to wear heels very comfortably. Flats actually hurt my feet more than heels do.

I feel like at age 43 this shouldn't even be a question - but can you really walk in those? How far? Do you wreck the toes and heels on the pavement? How do you deal with the non-sitting part of your evening?
I have the same question. My DD wore similar shoes to her homecoming and barely wore them for an hour. These are "sittin' down shoes" as my Nana would say.
