Yes, full time -- I'm not there yet (kid is 1 1/2) but I'm looking forward to the price drop! I live in DC. Daycare is on the DC/Maryland line, technically in Maryland.

For full-time daycare? No way! Where do you live?

My daughter's almost 2 and her daycare charges us $1,218/month. We're in Fairfax/Falls Church area and the center is in a church basement, though not church-affiliated. Our infant slot was $1,240/month.

We pay in the $1400s for our almost-two-year-old at a Bright Horizons Center downtown.

We pay $1,300 a month in Silver Spring. When you add food and activities fee, it is $1,400.

We pay 1330 a month for a two year old in Rockville. The 1650 a month is the cost of an infant slot at our daycare.

Seems a bit high. Ours is $1750 for infant, $1675 for older infant/toddler, and then drops to $1350 for 2's (because of the lower teacher-child ratio). This is in Potomac.

I charge $180/week for a toddler. I am in Alexandria in the Fairfax County part. I know some who do charge $200-250 per week for toddlers and preschoolers but in my opinion that is high for one that age. I try to help out my parents by keeping my rates as low as I can.

DD is a 2-year-old in Easter Seals in Silver Spring and we pay $1400/mo. Apparently there are licensed daycare centers that are cheaper than that in Silver Spring, but it seems pretty standard for DC overall. $1600 might be a bit high, but is not crazy for this area.

I'm in Alexandria (Fairfax Co section) and this is what we pay for an excellent in-home provider.

It depends on your location. We are in the Bethesda area and priced it this past year. We found most of the centers we looked at were from almost $1400 to almost $1600 for a 2 yr old, with most being in the $1500's. We found 2 church daycares that were about $1350. Infants were between $1700 and $2000 with most being in the $1800s. If the place you are looking at is downtown, $1650 is probably not out of line as I think many DC centers are higher than the suburbs.

This is going to vary a lot based on location. But our center charges $1000 a month for a 2 year old. That includes care from 7:30-6, 5 days a week. We are in NoVA. It's going up a little bit for next year.

I'm trying to figure out if the daycare we are looking at is a bit overpriced. How much do you pay for a 2 year old all day? This place wants to charge us $1650 a month. I feel like that's more than it was for a newborn when we looked! Has it changed that much? Please post how much you pay for a full day of care at a daycare center. Thanks.
