It's so modern inside!! I like it. I don't love the 70s office furniture style staging but love the lines of the home, the openness, the light pouring through all those floor-to-ceiling windows and the tower is so distinctive. I hate the kitchen though.

But yeah for an athlete, I'm not sure this is the best choice. This is so exposed. Not just from the street but even within your home there aren't many places to get privacy. But I guess he and his family know best.

TBH, this doesn't look that bad for a professional athlete. It's easy to be snooty about it, but given his age and station in life, I'd guess he doesn't want what most of DCUM wants in a home. I'm sure many of his teammates have houses that are far more blinged out.

Yeah, when I saw it was a basketball player I was wondering how circumspect the residence was or why they didn't just buy a luxury condo with building security. But maybe they wanted a real SFH for their family and I've yet to see a gated community (aside from some odd rowhomes) in DC proper, so choices might have been more limited....

It's on the corner of Upton and Reno Road.

What do you expect from a professional athlete? They have had no opportunity to educate their taste.

Oh that's interesting! You rarely get to see who the new owners are. They have two kids relatively young, so I guess a 6-bedroom isn't out of line. I wonder where the famous people send their kids for daycare? Does Sidwell do daycare/primary school?

It's a tasteful house for a professional athlete.

Hideous house, busy street. There's a sucker out there on every corner these days.

Isn't this the house with the tower in Cleveland Park that was the talk of DCUM town a few months back?
