Seriously OP, this happens to so many babies - and for many (mine included) it has nothing to do with the type of bottle. Once they are at daycare and realize it's either the bottle or stay hungry, they'll figure it out. It may be a couple rough days to start, but it will get better!
We tried 12 bottles and ended up with the first one we tried, Medela. You can also try distracting with a toy while feeding. My kid never did take a bottle from me until weaned. Hang in there OP.

NP here, me too to the bolded!
We tried every damn bottle on the market. Know what we ended up with? The $0.49 Gerber bottles that probably haven't changed since 1962. Shrug.
After a couple days at daycare DD would take a bottle like a champ as long as I wasn't around. Andcwe never warmed - all bittles were cold or room temp

Neither of my girls would take a bottle from me...LIKE EVER! But they took/take it fine from our daycare provider. Don't worry your kid will eat.

We also used comotomo.

Honestly though, I had to leave--as in, go back to work--before it really took. Obviously that is stressful, but sometimes a real change is what it takes. Is your baby going to daycare? The change of environment combined with being fed by someone who knows this game well has made a big difference for everyone I know who has been through this.

If babe is going to daycare, they would likely be willing to help you now. Go out for a day of treating yourself (spa?) and have DH or your parents or inlaws care for baby and take them to daycare for some bottle practice.

I had a thread on this a few weeks ago- search for it, I got good tips.

What ended up working was trying to feed him either when he was lying on a play mat or strap on the my Brest friend pillow (and switch sides periodically). Momma bottle from lansinoh is his favorite.

OP, ignore the troll who's mom didn't apparently breastfeed her long enough. You be strong. We who have common sense are rooting for you.

+1

And some workers at babies r us are allowed to give you free bottles as "samples". Don't be afraid to ask so that you can try a few brands.

OP, are you giving pumped milk right away? Or from the fridge?

It could be a lipase issue if you're not giving the milk right away. This happened to a friend of mine, but she didn't catch it for a long while (by which time her DD was pretty much anti-bottle altogether). I've never done it, but the way to prevent the lipase from breaking down the sugars is to scald the milk immediately after pumping it.

Agree - it is so stressful but will get better. We had the same problem last month and stressed for weeks before daycare started. Comotomo finally worked for us. It also helped for DH to give a bottle while DD was laying on her mat or in her chair. However, even right before daycare started, DD only took a bottle about 1 out of every 3 tries. She had a difficult first day but started drinking her bottle with minimal fuss by day 2. Good luck!

Hang in there and just keep trying preferably when you're out of the house. I'm sure DC will start b/f or when daycare starts. Try not to stress. It will be okay.

I am so sorry. We have had success with the comotomo bottles. They mimic the breast. I am not sure if that will help. If not, I'd contact the pediatrician ASAP for some suggestions (or see if other stuff comes up here) so that you can get ready to go back to work. Good luck!

Baby is 2 months old and I go back to work in 2 weeks. We waited until she was 4 weeks before introducing bottle to avoid nipple confusion but now she absolutely refuses bottle. The first 2 weeks of trying w/ bottle we weren't too concerned and kind of took it slow but now as we get closer to my going back to work we've started trying different strategies and nothing works. We have tried me feeding with bottle, DH with bottle, my parents, inlaws, combos of me in the house, in the house but different room, and out of the house completely. We've tried different bottles (medela, dr. brown, and avent). We've tried when she's not too hungry, when she's tired and hoped for a dream feed, when she's really hungry. Nothing is working. She "chews" the bottle, pushes it out with her tongue, cries and screams and pushes bottle away. We'll look at bottle and she'll hardly have eaten anything. Please help me.
