The county executive's bathroom is undoubtedly quite nice, though.

I think Gansler could have defeated Hogan.

I was one of many "reliable" Democratic voters who did not pull the lever for Brown. He was a terrible candidate with no message.

Of course, if Ike is the nominee in the next election it might be deja vu all over again. Count me unimpressed.

Maryland never elects governors from Montgomery County. It drives me nuts.

Could it be because the democratic leadership in Maryland puts the party before the good of the people of their state?

Democrats have increasingly focused on one-party rule instead of good governance. That is why they lost.

Apparently, the message sent by voters is lost on you.

Democrats lost because Anthony Brown ran a terrible campaign.

Not so, Dems lost b/c people got tired of Dems. it wasn't just limited to md as you recall.

Eh, Maryland is dominated by Dems. If citizens had tired of Dems you'd have seen some more turnover in the down ticket races. It was a total Kathleen Kennedy Townsend flashback.

Not OP. Whether or not Hogan does well, the Democrats are going to put up a candidate, and if Hogan is successful, it better be a good one to be a realistic option. There's nothing wrong with OP's question. It does not mean OP is not giving Hogan a chance.

he only ran for CE this time so Duncan wouldn't win. he is too old and althought fiscally responsible in terms of cutting the county budget he is too liberal with programs for what the state needs and wants.

Leggett could be a formidable candidate. Thoughts?
