Why is no one mentioning will and grace? That's a show we should be discussing...

She has some incredible, iconic roles under her belt.
Terms of Endearment, Officer and a Gentleman, Urban Cowboy.

She was in the third season of In Treatment on HBO. I don't think her role was universally praised, but I thought she was pretty decent. I'm still bummed about that show being cancelled.

One word: crazy. Went through bad divorce with Timothy Hutton and completely lost it mentally. Inside information.

Maybe she didn't want to play the game.

Don't forget "Black Widow." She was so good in that movie with Theresa Russell. If you haven't seen it, find it and watch.

I hear she's starting a detective agency with Barbera Hershy and Lori Petty. Their first case is looking for the past two decades.

They made a whole documentary about this -- "Searching for Debra Winger" -- and about women aging in Hollywood in general. But, yes, she dropped out of her own volition. She has talked about in recent years, especially when her book came out a few years ago.

Very fickle business and fans. Some actors make you wonder how they keep getting movie offers.

Watching legal eagles on hbo go and I remember she was poised to be one of the big stars of the 80s and that never happened. Heck I hadn't heard about her in anything and had forgotten about her until tonight. Drugs?
