Is anyone doing Early Start Denver Model locally in the DC metro area? A brief internet search and look on Autism Speaks didn't turn up any local therapists/school options.

I use the Early Start Denver Model in my work with young children with ASD in my practice in the mid-hudson valley of NY. I am familiar with Verbal Behavior and Discrete Trial ABA, Pivotal Response Training, and some non-ABA, naturalistic techniques such as Floortime. Early Start Denver Model sounds very similar to Pivotal Response Training because it is one of the underlying principals of ESDM. I find that children are happier and make more comprehensive progress with ESDM than with other ABA approaches I've tried. The biggest difference in progress I see is in the the area of social relationships - seeking & enjoying interactions with children and adults. IMHO, Early Start Denver Model produces the best results of any ABA approach I've tried in nearly 20 years of practice.
