Can he handle one spouse who has high functioning autism and lies/omits all the time? And is verbally abusive to change a subject?

He is great. This is coming from a couple in a very difficult marriage who have tried different therapists in the past. I highly recommend him.

We've had a great experience with Andy. Much better than others we tested before settling on seeing someone. I am also gratified that he hasn't pushed us to keep seeing him ad infinitum, he suggested we were done and just coming back if we felt we needed to.

We didn't like him at all. Felt he was responding to his own method rather than to the people put before him.

He's great. This coming from a guy whose wife dragged him in.

He is not mushy. He's a man's man. My sense is he only works with parties where both want the marriage to work. If one doesn't, he'll call the party out on it. At least he did with us. That was how he explained his policy, too.

I would be interested too have a session booked next week. My husbanD would respond better to the non mushy male type... So glad to hear that. We are hopeful and going to work hard at staying together post infidelity Issues and other issues too (goes without saying I guess)

I know this is an old thread, but trying to revive for more info. What insurance does he take? Could not find that info on website. And what exactly is Imago Therapy?

I did, and he is great. He didn't ring any chimes when I saw him! He only works with couples who are trying to make it work. He's also a man's man, not macho but maculine. (Some male therapists are kind of mushy.) Why not try a few sessions?

Hi is in network for us and convenient. I've read the name on here but not details. Googled him and found an article where he talked about ringing a chime. Is he new agey or touchy feely? Not sure DH would go for that.

We tried someone else who apparently does child custody schedules, she skipped right to that pretty quickly. I think we're pretty committed to working to make things better, so she wasn't a good fit. Freaked me out in fact.

We have a lot of communication problems and neither of us is great at talking about feelings so the Imago method seemed like a good fit. If anyone can weigh in on that or Mr. Wald in particular, I'd be really grateful. The fighting is getting out of hand.
