DCUM just realized it didn’t have enough Trump threads!
A lot of people aren’t used to having ex-presidents with such long records of criminality, so you must excuse them. I mean usually a president is someone you could look to for inspiration. In this case, you got this spray-tanned piece of sht who has lied about just about everything and cheated anyone who has ever been close, so you know, right? Makes sense to have a few posts.
Somebody in the New York legislature passed a bill with Trump in mind, said for one year the statute of limitations on long ago sexual assault will be waived. Then suddenly E Jean refiles. It seems like they got the target first and then they manipulated or redefined the laws to make sure that he could be prosecuted.
When in doubt always go for conspiratorial thinking first, I see.
A new law in New York is behind the civil lawsuit brought by E. Jean Carroll against Donald Trump, and survivors hope the spotlight put on it by this week’s verdict against the former president means more people might use it. The law opened a one-time window for adult sexual assault survivors in New York to file a civil case against an abuser or institution that protected the abuser — no matter when the assault took place, even if it’s outside the statute of limitations. But that window expires in six months. The law has a one-year window through late November. Within hours of the law going into effect in late November, Carroll filed a battery and defamation civil suit against Trump. The Adult Survivors Act Has Expired In New York State https://www.forbes.com/sites/douglaswigdor/2023/12/05/the-adult-survivors-act-has-expired-in-new-york-state/?sh=48cb75f14ce5 With the expiration of the law, individuals can no longer file new lawsuits under the provisions of the Adult Survivors Act. How is this a conspiracy if it’s true? Why has NY let it expire? Why not just keep it in place?
Because they don’t really care about the issue, they are politically motivated to go after DJT. It’s blatant corruption and hypocrisy.
So you are good with some people breaking the law and not being held accountable, but not others?
Lots of developers have talked about how common these accounting processes are. I'm still waiting for the NY Ag to go after other NYC property owners.
