I now use the refillable k cup too - cheaper, and I think the quality of the coffee is better than the k cups. I get it ready the night before so all I have to do is stumble to the coffee machine and hit 'brew.' I used to order the k cups online - I think amazon had the best prices with subscribe & save. But when I didn't want to commit to 2 boxes of something I'd never tried before, or wanted something amazon didn't have, I'd check other sites - I've ordered from bigcat PP mentioned, also shoffee.com.
What am I doing wrong? My coffee always turned out watery when I used the refillable cup. I tried different levels of coarseness too.
I read about this accidentally when I first got my Keurig... it has something to do with the way the My K-Cup filter fits into the holder, and the seal that is on the handle. The rubber gasket type thing on the underneath side of the brewer liftable handle needs to be moved down a little bit so it forms a better seal with the My K-Cup basket/filter. I'm not that good at explaining it, but if you read through the reviews on the My K-Cup Filter, a lot of people talk about it. It was either Amazon or Keurig.com that I read the reviews on.
