I think whatever consulting group the GSUSA hired to help them revamp their Leadership Experience, they decided that girls need to become leaders in the world by learning to speak up and communicate and advocate etc. I think that is very appropriate for older girls, like middle school and up, but I'm not so sure it needs to be the focus for girls in elementary school. It seems to lead to a lot of activities that say "talk about", "teach", "tell" instead of "make" and "do" and "practice" and "explore".[/quote]
