He was in love with Leslie until he, after many weeks, decided to finally ask Theresa what she did for a living. When he found out, he suddenly declared his love for her. Also, he and his wife buy an expensive lake house and she’s ends up dead a month later? How much was she insured for? I know it sounds crazy, but he seems just that creepy to me!
You're crazy. He wasn't in love with Leslie. She was fun in bits and pieces. Small doses. Spending an overnight with her had to have been exhausting. She has the emotional maturity of a 16 year old girl. No man in his right mind would be with someone like that; her past choices caught up with her
+1. He seemed in love with Faith until she decided she couldn’t leave her dead horse (for Gerry, she later clarified she was willing to move but it’s not clear under what circumstances. It looked like Faith was gently dumping him. Anyway, he cried when Faith said no. I know he cried a lot, but usually it was because he didn’t want to hurt anybody, and this is the only relationship I can think of where he cried because it was over by someone else’s choice. Then he has to choose between Theresa and Leslie. I agree he didn’t seem like a Leslie kind of guy, apart from some fun in the sack.
I think he was over Faith the minute he saw where she lived. He had zero interest in a mini-ranch, rural, heavy camping lifestyle that required many hours of travel to even get there. Zero compatibility in their interests. He was into her when he thought she was a sexy singer who liked riding motorcycles. As soon as it became clear the real focus was rural farm life and horses, it was a big nope.
