We have gotten horrible weather in AZ. We’ve still enjoyed the hikes and the scenery but everything is muddy, wet and cold. The last 2 days should be great but overall it’s been very disappointing weather wise. It was warmer at home. We didn’t expect it to be hot, but still.
This sucks. We considered Arizona but ultimately didn’t because I figured the weather had the potential to still be cold and yucky this time of year. Spring break was too early this year! Hard to find anywhere with warmth/sun in March.
We always have good luck in central and south Florida. It’s so maligned on this site but the weather was idyllic this week and I’ve been so bummed that we chose AZ to “see something different” rather than our old standby.
Grand Canyon and Sedona are always hit or miss this time of year. We’ve hiked in snow in Sedona one year and it’s been 75 and dry the next. Phoenix is usually safe, but was not great this past weekend. Was hoping for warmth and sunshine this past weekend but got cloudy and cool. Still good for hiking, but not what I wanted. Sorry you had less than ideal weather, but hope the sights made up for it some!
