I read this story in the headlines this morning and it just chilled me to the bone. Click the link, read the story, look at the pictures. Imagine spending decades with a person, building a family with them, having a life that in every way seems normal - and then one day, this. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13356141/Pennsylvania-Roger-Hanks-shoots-wife-daughter-dead.html I'm happy to be single and childless by choice whenever I see stories like this. I know, I know - 'not all men,' and lots of you are happily married with wonderful families. It just terrifies me to see how all of that can turn on a dime when you are interdependent with someone who can suddenly lose it and end you.
I don’t think this was a case of a normal person snapping. I think this was an a$$hole guy with a drinking problem and a history of threats, and the reason why the mom and daughter were so close is because they both knew their husband/dad was a terrible guy. It doesn’t change what happened, but this wasn’t an angel that turned bad one day.
