From the CP listserve. Let's catch this guy. Really scary stuff going on in our 'hood. Banner Thief: 3rd Time Posted by: "Libby" Thu May 31, 2012 5:35 pm (PDT) My Steelers banner was stolen again last night/this morning at 12:40 AM, May 31st. This is the third time it has happened in the brief time I've lived in Cleveland Park. Enough! I have the thief committing the crime on tape from several angles. I need your help in identifying him. Briefly, he is a white male, 5'10" to 6 feet weighing approximately 175 pounds. He is wearing a light color t-shirt, neutral shorts to his knees, a dark belt, white ankle socks and sneakers. He is lanky, with a non-athletic build. Additional details are reserved, but known. He got out of a car that pulled up in the alley behind my garage. He jumped the back corner wall of my property, walked across the yard, stepped in my flower bed and tore a banner from the garage wall that was attached on all four corners. Then he walked back out of my yard, up the steps, across the driveway and into the car. Again, this is all on tape and is an outright, indisputable criminal act. I will post large banners in my front and side yards with the criminal committing the act. I will also post Wanted posters around the neighborhood. If anyone knows who this is, please email me or call the Second District police. This is a crime and a report was filed. This is beyond just a prank. It is a repeated crime against me and my property. And I am sick of it. My home is not safe despite the many security measures in place. It is a violation on many levels. For those who think it is not worthy of police action, read this listserv and the discussions and reactions to the hydrangea thief, the UPS package thief, the FedEx package thief, the U.S. mail thief, the bike with locks on it thief, the potential thieves who knock on doors selling magazines and donations, etc and the roof leak scammers. Then let me know what you are going to do when someone walks across your property and takes whatever brought you happiness or made you feel like you were home. Please help identify this thief. Call the Second District Police station or email me directly. Thank you. Libby Reno Road
Have you considered moving to Capitol Hill?
