Below are links to the products. They are clear "juice" supplement drinks for people who need calorie/nutrient dense liquids. Each has about 200-250 calories and 7gm-9gm of protein; the Resource Fruit has a slightly higher calorie and protein content. My DS prefers clear liquids over milky ones like Pediasure and he really needs more calories and protein so I am planning to sub this for his usual water or juice. http://www.abbottstore.com/therapeutic-nutrition/ensure+reg-enlive+reg/icat/enlive/ http://www.nestlenutrition.co.uk/healthcare/gb/products/pages/ProductDetails.aspx?p=Resource®+Fruit http://www.nestle-nutrition.com/products/Product.aspx?ProductId=def0fd1f-3768-4a47-8f63-f409d675dd9b There are some great calorie dense foods that these companies make. The foods are designed to help you get the most bang for a bite which is important when your child will only take a few bites and is underweight. There are fortified soups, ice cream, pudding, and custard as well as Pediasure Peptide 1.5 cal that has 350 cal per 8oz bottle. http://www.abbottstore.com/pediasure+reg-peptide/pediasurer-peptide-15-cal-vanilla-8-fl-oz-bottle-case-of-24/invt/56655/ I am going to see what I can do about obtaining samples because it is expensive to just order cases of all of these things when I am unsure what products would work best for my child. BTW I am the OP of another thread asking about RD that is familiar with working with underweight/FTT toddlers. I am an oncology RN and have been exposed to lots of these products via patients over the years. The RD's are the ones writing the orders for these products and advising the MD's on the inpatient units, the doctors sign their recommendations:) I am outpatient now and sadly have lost touch with my old inpatient RD friends so am on the lookout for someone good! (And yes we have been to 2 GI clinics)
