Accupuncturist?

I've been pleased with Sen Huang of the Huang Clinic near GW in DC. I had high FSH and he's lowered it with acupuncture. He's gentle and is informed on infertility.

OP here - thanks, everyone, for your suggestions. As several posters here have said, I also have high FSH. In fact, went for a second opinion with an RE today and got essentially the same diagnosis (POF/POI). I am going to try estrogen priming, but the doctor thought accupuncture would at least help relieve some of my stress. And I'm willing to try just about anything at this point!

Acupuncture is a wonderful stuff. It works on my stress problem.

For TTC issue, I had a search on this forum, I find many friends like Dr. Arthur Fan, there are at least 34 discussions mentioned him, if plus the search words Dr.Fan or Dr.Fang(I feel it is a misspell of his name), there are over 50. So, I feel he is good in this field.

Also, I feel Dr.Zhang and Westhauser are good too.

As I understand, the treatments may be different depend on acupuncturists' education and experience.

Arthur Fan's blog is interesting, there are many discussions there for fertility.

The blog said there were more than 40 successful cases after 2007.

I'm up in Howard County, and I save some money by going to "My Neighborhood Acupuncture" in Laurel, where they have a sliding scale (between $20 and $40 per session). I go primarily for infertility.

With that said, I'm making appointments with Eugene Zhang as well as Grant Zhang, in Ellicott City, who has done research on IVF and acupuncture and teaches at UMD medical school (and was trained in China in TCM).

I've also gone to "Pulling Down the Moon" after IVF embryo transfer, and wasn't terribly impressed in terms of the $ I spent. It was a shorter session for $100, using needles on the same points that the far cheaper acupuncturist in Laurel used. In my opinion - I'm either going to go to a TCM practitioner with decades of experience in infertility (Zhang or Zhang), or I'm saving my money and doing community acupuncture. Or both.

Many thanks!

14:22 here. I've had a few unsuccessful IUIs and am now in the middle of an IVF cycle. So no success yet. However, as others have said I find it to be very relaxing... Helps me manage my anxiety through it all, which alone is worth it.

I went to Kerri Westhauser for my first IVF cycle which was successful. I give her a lot of credit. Not only did she provide accupuncture treatments but gave me great nutritional guidance as well. I think she made all the difference for me. Plus, having 45 minutes a week to zone out and really relax was wonderful.
