MY DH and I are so excited about the warmer weather we want to grill tonight. We just moved here and have no clue where we can get a propane tank.. any suggestions? |
Home Depot sells propane, but if you don't have one near by, check out some hardware stores in Arlington, they may carry it:
Cherrydale Hardware Store- Lee Hwy http://www.arlingtoncounty.com/cherrydalehardware.htm Virginia Hardware Store- Clarendon http://www.arlingtoncounty.com/virginiahardware.htm Bill's True Value- N. Buchanan St http://www.billstruevalue.com/ |
Some 7-11s have them, too. The smaller ones do not, so call before you go. |
The PPs gave good recs. In the future you might want to try Propane Taxi. It is a great service, price competitive and they deliver/exchange your tanks right to your house. I just order online, place the tank on our front porch and it is replaced with the new one. I think it is around $21.00 We are in 22207 in Arlington and they deliver on Tuesdays and Saturdays. They will even exchange it and reconnect it right from your grill for an extra $5.00 but we do that part ourselves.

The hardware store in Clarendon is now an Irish pub, and thank goodness, because we sure as (&*% didn't have enough of those before. |
Harris Teeter on Glebe had them (I think) last year. Don't know when they start up again. |
The gas station on the cornor of Glebe and Wash Blvd has them sometimes too.
I am so looking into propane taxi though - it seems like when you want one, everyone is out (because of course my husband waits until 30 minutes on a nice day to declare we need a new one) |
This is the 12:16 and we use propane taxi. It rocks! We need an unusual valve to work for our grill and they bring us the one we need. It takes them a day or two to get it to you once you order it. |
