What are acceptable ERB scores for admission to most independent schools? |
I guess everyone on this board is concerned with the WPPSI and can't give advice on ERB scores for older children. |
They prefer 7,8, and 9s on ERBs. But I've heard that some, even the most selective schools, will go as low as 4's. Too many factors go into admissions. Standardized scores by themselves cannot determine everything. |
The ERBs are scored on several norms. See other ERB threads. 7, 8 and 9 are meaningless unless one knows the norm. |
The ERB was actually on an Independent School Norm. |
Using the Independent school norms, 6 and up will be competitive for most schools in the area. Some schools care more about standardized tests than others. |
Straight 8s and 9s are relatively uncommon on the IS Norm. |
