Pilates Reformer-why is it so expensive?

My sister keeps telling me I have to try it? What is it exactly, and why on earth are the sessions so expensive? Do you feel it is worth it? I'd like to hear some testimonials.

Me, too! I cannot get over paying $30 or more a class...

They are expensive because they generally have a pretty small class size. Pilates mat classes usually are a little larger and therefore less expensive per class. (Personally, I prefer mat to the reformer and I think the mat classes are worth the cost.)

Love love love the reformer. It's the same price as any other private session at my gym.
