Seriously?!?! Lmao

Why would Valor pick a sombrero fiesta theme? Tone deaf much!

Fiesta is so tone deaf and racist. My kids play in CYA and if either of them gets asked to play in the all stars tournament again, we're saying no.

The kids (ok really their parents) WANT to do this. They want to show up. Right now there is a U8 all stars team playing in the U9 age bracket.

It isn't "playing up". Its the organizers having to combine age groups at the last minute because no one wanted to play in their tournament.

Someone posted about this last year! Valor talked a kids travel team from PR into flying all the way here to play in this elite rec tournament against a bunch of Larlo's from Herndon. A whole team of little kids and families came all the way here thinking it was a real event. Can you imagine.

The schedule posted is from last year. There will be even fewer teams this year because it was so bad last year, orgs like Herndon and CYA are going back to FPYC.

Can't even wrap my brain around the travel team from Puerto Rico. Their families must have spent so much money to travel here. They were done dirty.

Its what I don't get. Of all the themes in the world, for an event that doesn't need a theme, you go with one that is sleazy an offensive? the description of a bunch of clueless middle aged white guys in track pants seems spoton.

What if only one team shows up for a given age group? Do they automatically get the sombrero trophy and $5 Taco Bell gift card? Or would they be forced to play?

can you imagine your kid being all excited for all star tournament and you show up and there are no other teams to play

I’m afraid you might see that happen. I bet there will be some CYA coach all excited that he’s finally going to win a tournament. Lmao

My brain is stuck on a bunch of families flying here from puerto rico for a rec tournament thinking it was a real tournament

NGL enjoying valor's fail.
Do feel bad for the rec kids who get stuck with this trash instead of a real tournament

Everyone says the lower valor teams are just like rec teams, and everyone is saying there aren't any teams in this tournament so maybe they should throw their 3rd, 4th, 5th teams into the tournament and see how they do. If they will put an international travel team in there, why not there own travel teams.

They should try and get individual rec teams to sign up. Loudoun has an in house soccer tournament the week before all-stars and gets 4-8 teams per age group to pay $300.

They are charging way more than that
