What is a Procedural Support Liaison (Fairfax County)

Someone in this position will be attending our IEP meeting. Does anyone know exactly what that person does and what I should expect? Our meetings have not gone well in the past and I'm hoping this person will be able to make things more productive. Thanks!

I'd say it's another person who is there to make sure they are documenting everything properly so they can cover their asses.

When I worked in the county they were "pyramid resource specialists", and we called them to attend complicated IEP's or in cases where the parents and the school weren't on the same page.

If you do not agree with the services the school has offered in the past, I strongly recommend that you bring your own advocate. Good luck!
