Dentist Recommendation for 3 year old with sensory issues

| We're looking for some recommendations for a dentist for our 3 year old. He has some sensory issues and PDD-NOS and it took over a year for him to get comfortable with a haircut so we were hoping to find a dentist who had experience with this. Would prefer northern virginia but willing to travel if necessary. Thanks for any suggestions! |

| Dr. Gazori in Lansdowne. He doesn't believe in pressuring sensory kids or ignoring their discomfort like I think other dentists do. Once I heard him actually reading a book to a child to help him become comfortable. He's very knowledgeable about the needs of autistic children too. |

| Dr. Dana Greenwald on Wisconsin Avenue, Friendship Heights. Very kid friendly office. Make sure that you tell receptionist on phone in advance of appointment about the sensory issues so that the right hygientist works with your child. Jennifer is terrific there and I'd request her. |

| I second the recommendation for Dr. Dana. She treats my son who has Aspergers. But she's in Friendship Heights, so maybe too far. |
