Finally heard something from my team manager. I have no idea why they're not emailing the parents directly, but whatever. Key fact...they'll be sending out invitations for next year on the 24th for girls, and on May 1st for the boys.

2019-2020 Season:
- The club is still awaiting word from our various leagues on resuming play, and most leagues and tournaments are looking at summer options for resuming play. The club is constantly balancing league decisions, financial considerations, and doing right by our families. BSC is looking at options and incentives to keep families in our program.

- Five coaches were let go (they were not returning for the 2020-2021 season) and teams should have already been notified. Eric Tin will be serving as the Interim Girls YDP Director.

- 2020 Super Y League is still going on as scheduled. League is exploring some different options in the fall/tournament formatting. BSC will be doing a additional tryouts at a date to be determined. Players can still accept their invitations if they haven’t done so already and parents should email our Office Manager Zane Campbell if they are having issues with their invitation.

- Summer Camps are still going on as scheduled. If there is a need to cancel camps parents will be given the option to receive a credit to their account or switch to a later week of camp.

2020-2021 Season:
- Girls coaching slate was released online and invitations will be going out on April 24th. The boys coaching slate will be released on April 24th and invitations will be going out on May 1st.

- U9-U11 girls teams have rebranded as ECNL I and II although they will not be playing in ECNL. Branding is aimed at mirroring boys academy name.

- Club is working towards delaying new uniforms for this year and pushing it to 2021-2022.

- Tryouts for players outside of our club will be held starting on June 1st. The tryouts for new players will be held in conjunction with our current teams/players to see where new players fit best.

Seems crazy that at the ECNL level they would give invitations to the existing players without trying to absorb any outside talent interested in coming over given the consolidation. But if they are, I guess they are loyal.

supplemental tryouts in june for them. and every ecnl team has had outside players practicing with them for months, so coaches already know who to give offers to

Come on, its BSC - if need be, they'll just bump an existing player to a different or lower team and give that player's spot to the shiny new object that came along later. They do this often, even in regular times. Doesn't matter that you were offered a specific team and accepted a specific team.

I have never seen BSC kick a player off of a team during the season to replace them with a better player.

I saw multiple kids dropped from the DA roster to the team below during a season.

The players I was thinking of are ex-DA -- maybe not too many geographically for BSC, but possibly some former Arlington? They would not have been practicing or even thinking about BSC two weeks ago....

No you saw kids that were getting no playing time told they could either sit on the bench for the whole season, or start on Blue.
Different.
