Camp trunk?

Anyone know of anywhere in town to get a camp trunk? Not looking for online suggestions, thank you.

Rei or Land's End - and no one uses hard trunks anymore - just soft duffle bags of various sizes.

OP here, I was just hoping to feel how sturdy they were and possibly let kids select color. PP, our camp uses trunks.

My ds’s sleepaway camp recommends them. It’s in New England, maybe that’s the difference?

There was an independent store that sold them when we lived in NY, but the area had a really strong camp culture. I don’t think that exists around here.

OP here, same as where I grew up. I can’t imagine my boys living out of several duffle bags. Would be so disorganized!!!!

Even though you don't want online, I'd recommend everything summer camp. Anywhere local will not have color choices. My kids go to 2 different camps that both require trunks, and each camp recommends here. For those that don't use trunks, how do you get everything to camp if your kids fly there? We just ship the trunks. I recommend that site b/c last year on the way back, one of our trunks was really damaged. The website offered either to have us send it back and they'd repair or I opted to have them send me replacement parts. It was really easy and is as good as new again.

Bumping an old thread but I need help. Camp packing list says that trunks must slide under bed but I think beds are a weird size like a foot / 12 inches. Trunks are generally 13.5. Like every trunk out there, for camp. (thanks for the everythingsummercamp link too!)

Do people just bring their normal trunks? That's aoK, right?
