Why do you wait until the last minute to buy a sled?

Anonymous
Can someone explain to me why if you have children, you wait until there is snow to buy a sled? You know sleds don't have an expiration date on them, if there is no snow this year, there will be snow another year.

I bought a toddler sled last October 2008 for my 17 month old. And I have the toboggan and runner sleds from my childhood for when my child gets bigger.

All the people looking for sleds could not have moved in from California in the last year.

What difference does it make to you? Would you like an award for being so prepared? Well, guess what, there is none.

Because the last time it snowed enough to use a sled was 2007, I suppose.

Gold star to you for having the insight to buy a sled a year ago.

I didn't realize ours had broken. Last year it didn't snow at all, so it got shoved under some boxes or somehting. We went to pull it out, and I saw that a giant piece had cracked.

So, I went to buy a new one.

I also bought the kids some snowpants. They had grown bigger since last year, needed new sizes. I probably should have bought them earlier but... life happens, you know?

Because everyone else is stupid and you are smart. Gold star for you.

OP, since you are so wonderfully prepared with a sled that's been waiting to be used for over a year, PLEASE get outside and play with your kid instead of thinking of dumbass things to write on DCUM.

Do you plan for sex this far in advance too?

You must be a ball to be around, OP.

You are so right OP! It's like Katrina. All those people should have bought boats ahead of time. I mean, they live on the coast, right?!?

Having you started prepping your child for an Ivy, OP?

Honestly, don't you have better things to do with your time than judge everyone else? Go play with the sled you bought so long ago.
