What is dc metro lacrosse?

| I’ve seen several high school girls wearing dc metro lacrosse shirts. I have a middle schooler and am wondering what this is as I can’t seem to find anything about it. Is it a HS club? Or a local honorary thing similar to UA that top girls are invited to play in? |

| There is a Women’s Lacrosse World Cup that happens every four years, the last one being in 2017 in England. As part of the festivities, they have younger girls play in games against other countries. The teams were primarily 9th and 10th graders if I remember correctly. The teams were called DC Metro. Great time and experience for the girls. |

| DC Metro is the name of the team that represents the DMV at the National Schoolgirls tournament each year. DC Metro usually fields around 4 teams in this tournament, which is held around Memorial Day weekend. |

| As mentioned above, it is not a club. It is/was a name given to teams playing in the school girl tournament, or teams sent to play in the festivals at World Cup games. School girl is for high school 9-11 girls with local tryouts. Festival teams were composed of Stars and Capital lacrosse girls with a few other girls from other teams who were really good. |
