Biden is at a dreadful (28/71) on his handling of the Israel/Hamas war. Media will focus on him being deep underwater (19/81) on the issue among young voters, pushing the narrative that he's still seen as too pro-Israel. But he's relatively strong on the issue among partisan Democrats (46/53). Among Republicans and independents, who are much more pro-Israel than the Democratic base at this point, he's at (13/87) and (27/73) respectively.

Biden has pandered hard to the Hamas sympathizers for weeks. This has earned him approximately zero credit within that crowd. Meanwhile, normies and Israel supporters are *disgusted* with his handling of the issue. He's impressing no one. And Israel's supporters heavily outnumber Israel's haters in America -- despite what he might be seeing and hearing on his favored cable news channels, on social media, and among his hyper-online staff.

Your last two paragraphs are simply projection of your own biases. The idea that Biden has been pandering to Hamas sympathizers is laughable by any objective measure.

This is the point: Biden has pissed off both sides of his party.

Donald Trump continues to hold an advantage over President Joe Biden as the campaign – and the former president’s criminal trial – move forward, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

Trump’s support in the poll among registered voters holds steady at 49% in a head-to-head matchup against Biden, the same as in CNN’s last national poll on the race in January, while Biden’s stands at 43%, not significantly different from January’s 45%.

Among independents, 51% say Trump’s presidency was successful, while only 37% see Biden’s as a success.

Negative views of Biden’s work in office have held for much of his presidency. In the new poll, 60% disapprove of his handling of the job and 40% approve, about the same as it’s been in CNN polling for more than a year.

The economy
Biden’s approval ratings for the economy (34%) and inflation (29%) remain starkly negative, as voters say economic concerns are more important to them when choosing a candidate than they were in each of the past two presidential contests. In the new poll, 65% of registered voters call the economy extremely important to their vote for president, compared with 40% who felt that way in early 2020 and 46% who said the same at roughly this point in 2016. Those voters who say the economy is deeply important break heavily for Trump in a matchup against Biden, 62% to 30%.

A broad majority of all Americans, 70%, say economic conditions in the US are poor.

There remain sharp partisan differences in which issues are most critical to choosing a president. Among Democratic-aligned voters, protecting democracy (67%), abortion (54%), the economy (52%), gun policy (51%) and health care (49%) all rank as key for about half or more, while on the GOP-aligned side, it’s the economy (79%), immigration (71%), crime (65%) and then democracy (54%).

Among all voters, Biden remains at a bit of a disadvantage relative to Trump in terms of the share of voters who have ruled out voting for him: 52% say there’s no chance they would support him, while 47% say there’s no chance they would back Trump, both numbers are similar to the level found in a fall CNN survey.

And yet, when it comes down to it, they will all vote for Biden because they know what is at stake.

And...Trump would be far far worse for the Palestinians.

It is also a statistical outlier.

This feels like the polling from 2020 and 2022.

We're doomed. I wake up every day anxious and depressed. Trump v2 is going to be filled with violence. NY and CA will be his punching bags. Congratulations MAGA. You will get to live in what you wanted so dearly. Yup, burn it down!

This poll doesn't include third parties, which are likely to have a significant impact in swing states. If you include Kennedy, Trump wins with a fairly comfortable margin. Just like Nader voters tipping the election to Bush in 2000, the third party voters this year are likely to give the election to Republicans.

It's just a complete nightmare for Americans seeing these two faces on another POTUS ballot. So disgusting!
