Any parents who've sent children there have thoughts to share about the school?

I have a 10th header there. What do you want to know? We like the school. No complaints

Do you think they're preparing your child well for college?

If your child is in the honors program, do you think it's challenging?

Are there problem teachers?

Is bullying handled well?

My child is not in the honors program but doestake advanced classes. Haven’t had teacher issues and I feel bullying is handled well. I will say, my daughter has friends but she stays to herself. With all girls, it can be quite clickish

We are considering it as well. Wondering about their acceptance rate. Does anyone have any idea how many applications they receive? I believe the 9th grade class is ~125.

My daughter graduated in 2016 and had a very good four years. It is a diverse environment which prepared her well for the world. She felt prepared for college, but don't expect a lot of matriculation to elite schools (which is fine with us). It can be a bit cliquish but that's probably every all girls' school. She fostered great relationships with many teachers; others were not great but the majority she really liked.

If you had it to do over again, would you send her there? Were you satisfied with your daughter's college acceptances? We're not chasing Ivies but would love for her to have options across good State schools, liberal arts schools, etc...

I’m going to be honest. My 9th grader hates it. We applied out for 10th grade for next year and go accepted to both schooos we applied to. She said it seemed a bit like middle school still. Just a weird culture. In addition, outplacement for college isn’t all that great. This is her first and last year.

Bummer. It looks like the college placements were all in the Mid-Atlantic area; with some outliers.

Do you mind me asking... did your DD come from a Catholic, Independent or Public school? I'm trying to sell my daughter on it but she's not biting.

Family finances impact college choices. It may boil down to where the majority of families can afford to send their children, as well as pay for travel costs for breaks etc.

My daughter came from independent, Holy Trinity in Bowie. She is headed to Good Counsel for 2019-2020.

I'm not sure what the outplacement stats anywhere really mean. It may just mean the parents can't afford to apply to the expensive schools or to send their kids to them.
