I hope to god that anyone who reads my postings, or any postings on this site, consults with their medical advisors and other sites (some which I often link to) as a way of discovering more information from those who are trained and with whom individuals have a certain level of trust.
I'm just a dad (gasp) who is looking out for the best interest of his two kids, trying to speak clearly as I can on a subject that is often filled with FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt). I'm happy to admit if I'm wrong (like on the pregnancy/ttc post earlier today) and prefer for people to think through their decisions rationally, in a scientific manner, rather than act from 'gut level' feelings, especially as it relates to the health of their own children.
So please take everything I say with the grain of salt that I AM not a medical professional but just someone who is trying to help as best I can.
p.s. penguinsix is my nickname on many sites on the web, and my blog
http://www.penguinsix.com/. I go through the trouble of logging on here so people can 'track' what I say and see if they agree or disagree with my general views.
