I was just discussing this with a friend today. What happened to manners and common courtesy? We’re all about ‘respecting boundaries’ so much so that people have become cold hearted, self absorbed, rude, nasty individuals. I wasn’t raised this way and try to make an effort to treat people kindly and respectfully, how I would like to be treated, but it’s almost seen as being creepy now. And I am a woman, god forbid I was a friendly man. I always say hello to my neighbors kids, I have kids the same ages, they look at me with blank stares and keep going. They never ever acknowledge me or anyone as far as I can tell. They’re entitled little jerks. My DC is so enthusiastic and loves other kids, she is a kind soul, and the mother snarkily remarked how she has never seen such a child, they find my child annoying it seems. I don’t know when everyone became such a-holes. When was the turning point? What year did the majority of people just stop being polite and teach kids to just walk past neighbors and totally ignore them?Also when did it become okay to plan activities with each other while excluding people who are part of the conversation? That’s not alright.

White people are more likely to yell insults, Asians (including Indians) are the worst drivers. You can tell the terrible Indian drivers because they doddle about in their Tesla with their personalized license plate (Rithika, or some other Indian name).

Total opposite experience. Whole I’ve certainly met some jerky white republicans, those are always the people I see volunteering and using good manners.

Total opposite experience. Whole I’ve certainly met some jerky white republicans, those are always the people I see volunteering and using good manners.

I am white, but I find them completely phony. They’re nice to your face but if they discover that you have Mexican friends or black friends or that you had a child out of wedlock they judge you very harshly. They drop you as a true friend many times.

It’s so weird, they’re just such abhorrently behaved people. I can’t believe they were raised like this, so narrow minded, I live amongst them, and while they’re polite on the surface, they’re horrid individuals underneath. They only want their kids associating with like minded families so my kids are shunned by them.
