I think OP's question is genuine, not pretentious/entitled. Nothing wrong with wanting the best for your kid. OP is just reflective of the eager, highly educated parents in DC who are navigating education for their first born.

if a mom from a White, Catholic, Trump supporting, successful, hard-working, tax paying, heterosexual family came on this thread and asked for recommendations for a prestigious school for their kindergartener, there would have been a lot of shade thrown at her well before page 6.
