There are people in your community learning that someone wrote this about where they send their children to school every day. There are students who have experienced at least 2 bomb threats this year learning about this today. There are parents of kindergarteners who sent their kids to public school for the first time this year reading this today. That should be the focus. We are very lucky. |
Does anyone know when the writings were first brought to police attention? I’m curious how long it took for them to be notified then act on it. |
? wapo is like the NYT.. it's national. The local section may have picked it up, but wapo and nyt also pick up news that happens in another state. School shootings and threats to schools are a national issue, so it makes sense to me for a national news outlet to pick it up. This story is especially disturbing because of the manifesto, or journal or whatever one wants to call it. |
It doesn't stop the person from going to the school and shooting people, though. They are/were in the virtual program. Wootton doesn't check every student who walks into the school. |
Very true! My son attends Wootton and while the door is locked during the school day, kids are easily buzzed in all the time. |
I’m thankful to law-enforcement, who prevented this from happening.

An innocent question- transgender means what? the subject was a girl and now a boy?? |
Yes. |
They published a pic of the child. can they do that? |
He's 18. He's no longer a child. |
Interesting timing. Did LE wait until Ye turned 18 do they could apply adult charges?
What happens when a minor performa an act but is charged for it later when they are 18? |
Silly. |
If so then smart. |
The young adult lives close to my neighborhood |
Why do you say silly? |
