It's likely illegal in your jurisdiction, OP. That should end the discussion. Get a henna tattoo for her, once and move on. |
So a 12 year old can’t get a tattoo but can be given hormones to transition if they identify as the opposite sex? |
Wow, how much time did you waste trying to find a thread where you could post a comment like that? |
This cannot be real. Be a parent for god’s sake. |
I am going to let my kid get a nose piercing this summer when she turns **16**
She’s wanted one for years. But there is an OCEAN between a 16 year old nose piercing and a 12 year old tattoo NO. Just N-O |
Too young. Also ankle tattoos are painful |
This has to be a troll. |
Of course they shouldn't. |
Pretty sure it isn't even legal at her age. |
She can bring it up all she wants.
12 how are you even asking this question. Graduation from HS after turns 18 fine until then no. |
She can save up her money and get a tattoo when she turns 18. It isn't even legal to get on at 12, doesn't matter if she "keeps on bringing it up" she's twelve. |
There are henna and rub on tattoos all over the place OP, she can get one of those and it will stick around for a little while until it washes off. Extra points if she has a bad reaction to the adulterated henna, it might scare her off tattoos for a while. |
I told my kid no tattoos until her brain is matured at 25. Obviously she can do whatever she wants at 18, but its a reminder to her than her brain is not fully developed and that she cannot fully appreciate the consequences of her actions now (and shes a teen, not a pre-teen like OP). If she waits I told her I would give her a 4 figure sum of money. |
Sure. Tell her it’s great that she’s doing so much research and she should absolutely go for it as soon as she’s 18. |
No.
No tatoos in my house. My kids are teens and young adults, and I don't think they will ever get one. If they do, as adults, on their own dime, I won't grumble too much. But as minors? Certainly not. |
