But they won’t, because they are desperate for a trade deal with the US, which they may or may not get. It’s no fun to be beholden to a stronger power, but that’s where Britain finds itself today. Fortunately the British are masters of passive aggression so they’ll just launch a juvenile response, like flying a stupid balloon over London.
