Protests on college campuses

They don't care because they don't involve Jews. You can only score enough virtue points to unite a fractured society off the ultimate scapegoats.

If these kids want to protest, then they have every right to do so, there is a big Zionist lobby that has tried to control every opinion and aspect of this conflict since 10/7 and anyone not agreeing with Israel is promptly labeled antisemitic. Frankly, it’s nauseating.

It is their right. But their pro-Hamas protests win no hearts or minds.

The right wingers and administrators who are siccing the cops on them aren’t winning any hearts and minds either.

They are breaking the law by violently protesting, accosting police, and trespassing. Yet you think there should be no consequences? Of course you do. This is why normal, sane people think you are crazy.

This started with a bunch of dumb college kids camping in tents holding signs. The administration could have just ignored them and let them be stupid. They overreacted and made this a power game.

Wrong. The administration coddled and appeased them, allowing to squat in their squalid camps for longer than originally agreed, while they "negotiated" with them. The police were finally called in to remove the protesters when they wouldn't leave on their own. Why are you defending not only terrorists, but also "dumb college kids" refusing to follow protocol and obey laws?

+1 Send them packing if they won't obey the administration and police. They can protest at home.

That works both ways, maybe all these pro Israeli supporters need to go join the IDF and serve their true country. Pro Israeli people are also trying to influence policy from their gilded overpriced mansions.

Some actually have. I don’t see anyone on the other side doing it. Why? Because Gaza is an oppressive conservative sh!thole where all of their lefty woke LGBTQ+ values would be met with bad consequences.

I honestly wonder if any of these ignorant protesters have any inkling of what would await them in Gaza. Not that they'll ever have the guts to find out.

Really? It’s surprising to you that they aren’t volunteering to get massacred by the IDF?

Or be persecuted by Hamas for being women, liberal, Christian or LGBTQ!

I love it when MAGAs pretend to care about women and LGBTQ.

What’s even funnier are LWNJs who insist they’re champions for women and LGBTQ people - but who defend disgusting terrorists who would love nothing more than to execute gays and subjugate women. I love that disgusting hypocrisy, don’t you?

Are we sending weapons to other genocidal regimes?

The death of innocents is universally condemned, in the student protests I have heard. Hamas committed atrocious act of violence on 10/7.

Since then, collective punishment resulting in the deaths of babies and innocent civilians has been meted out by Israel, funded by the USA.

To...to..today junior. Are we sending weapons to other genocidal regimes today?

I mean, it's not great that we are funding Ukraine at this point either. Lot of unwilling conscripted men being pulled into death there too.

Look with your eyes. It's a smoking ruin.

Why is an abused population of women and children being held responsible for the evil of Hamas' 10/7 attack?

Innocent children should not be held responsible for the war crimes of their leaders.

May they all burn in hell for eternity.

The masked Hamas supporters occupying Hamilton Hall at Columbia are nothing more than useful idiots for terrorists who are wrecking their own futures. If it were my kid, I’d go and get them.

I just believe that college campuses should be where kids go to study. Any protests about anything should not be taking place on the college campuses, or if they occur, should be limited to 1 hour at a set time with a beginning and end. The never ending protests interrupt the education of not only the protesters but the other students who are not involved. Shouldn’t they be studying for finals now? If my kid wanted to protest, I would tell them they can do that during the summer but they are in college to get an education. I remember attending a 1 hour protest at my university a long time ago, where we listened to speakers and then went back to studying.

Humanitarian relief should be offered and ensured, but the actions of Oct 7 were greeted with celebration by the people of Gaza. Hamas should be removed and the land should be administered by a neutral party that focuses on remedying the divides between these two peoples, along with educating. No more straight brainwashing though.
