That article is a good one. I'm a person deeply upset by this and as i have posted here in the past.

Then do something about THESE problems. Provide ANY solution, ANY legislation, ANTYHING. Literally anything. We will happilly try ANYTHING.

Let us study the problem, fund the CDC to look at it, fund programs to address the root causes.

Republican's won't even allow gun bans on people that have a history of mental illness. Unless you've literally committed a violent crime in the past, you're allowed to buy a gun.

To elaborate on this....

You could literally say you're going to kill yourself and get a 72hr involuntary hospitalization then when released go buy a gun and ammo. Republican's are okay with this.

Exactly. Trump doesn’t give a crap. If he did, he wouldn’t have repealed the bill on curbing mentally ill people’s access to guns.

I don't think the number is "astounding". It think it is a very small minority of posters, who are probably an even smaller fraction of the electorate.

How about suicidal and violent people aren’t allowed to buy guns for a year after their therapist or paychiatrist says they’re all good?

Or how about we raise the age to buy guns to 21? If they want to use guns earlier they can join the military.
