HGTV filming in NoVa

Anyone heard about Lauren Liess’s show to be produced by HGTv.
“Best House on the Block”?

I can’t wait to see what she’ll do.

So rare to see a show in close-in Mid-Atlantic corridor.

The pilot was on a few months ago. It was nice to see the familiar brick bungalows on HGTV!

I’m excited that it’s filmed in this area and the couple seems really awesome, but the first house they did is so not my style. I was kind of confused by some of the choices they made, like open top shelves in the kitchen.

There was another show several years ago from the D.C. area. I remember it was a male realtor who worked with lots of people who were delusional about the value of their homes. He would go and help them get their house sold after it had been on the market for a long time. This was after the housing bubble collapse so lots of homes sat for a long time. Anyone remember the name?

So cool! They are currently casting. I want to apply but I have no clue how much I need to spend. I wish they just paid for the renovations ha! http://www.hgtv.com/shows/be-on-hgtv/now-casting-hgtvs-best-house-on-the-block

I loved that show! The very first episode was this guy in Arlington who could not accept his tiny crappy house wasn't worth what he thought it was. Ahhh, I'd love to watch that episode again.

I loved that show! I wish he'd come back.

I hate all these scripted, dramatized, staged House Hunter shows, flip shows from X city, and the like.

Totally agree with you. I get that Sabrina's part of the show cost them money, but it was so much more interesting.

House Hunters is so cheap to make and people seem to love the formulaic progression of the "story." It drives me nuts.
