do you unswaddle and change diaper? |
Do you mean a diaper that is dry and intact, or one that has urine and is emitting ammonia fumes next to the infant's skin? |
Not for a pee diaper unless it’s heavily saturated. I always changed the poop diapers. |
If it’s # 1– No. We use 12-hour Pampers Baby Dry
If it’s #2 - ALWAYS and we use powder right after to avoid diaper rash. Luckily, ours does not have any #2s at night. |
Once she stopped pooping at every feed, no. We also used 12 hr baby dry. If it seems really full then yes. |
I did change for a newborn since it was consistently wet every feeding and it didn’t fully wake her. Around 3 months she stopped being soaked each time and also started being more alert and bothered by changes. |
No freaking way. Maybe newborn as measured by days old. But certainly not weeks |
Same |
Powder is no longer recommended, FYI. Inhaling those small particles is apparently not good for growing lungs. |
Op here: I mean like the first month when they eat every 3 hours at night
And yes most newborns are wet at each time so assuming wet Poop would def change |
I always change after nursing on one side to wake baby up a little bit to nurse on the other side. |
Don't use powder!!! |
I did. Looking back, I shouldn’t have bothered. |
Nope. After the poop-every-time-you-feed thing stopped (6-8 weeks?), we stopped changing diapers after night feedings. Those things are so absorbent these days, there's really no point. |
I did, but we cloth diaper. Baby hated being wet and let us know of his displeasure. |
