Now this Senate Democrat maybe could run for re-election without the indictment over his head. Didn't see that coming...

| I don't know the facts of the case, but I believe the mistrial had 10 of the jurors acquitting. Maybe the case wasn't strong, or Justice isn't that good at pursuing corruption these days. |

Remember Governor McConnell in Virginia?
Its harder to prove bribery now. |
Yup, from the WaPo: "One of the jurors, Ed Norris, said Menendez and the doctor on trial with him, Salomon Melgen, came close to an outright acquittal, with 10 jurors believing Menendez not guilty, and only two on the panel in favor of finding him guilty." *Then* the court granted the motion for a judgment of acquittal on seven of the counts last week. After McDonnell , prosecuting corruption is just much harder in general. |
| The Dems are corrupt, yet only a few are charged. |
This guy was charged |
| Menendez is a highly regarded darling of the Democrats. I’ve seen how this shyster operates up close and personal. He’s been at it for decades. |
We had four years of Trump appointed US Attorneys. Maybe you're just projecting; It seems like every subsequent Republican administration sets the record for most indicted officials yet Obama had 0, Clinton had 2 and Carter had 1 |

There should be a new thread for this.
The title of this thread does not apply. |

Democrats currently take the cake for the most corrupted weaponized government in American history. Congratulations, Democrats! |
| How do Mr and Mrs Menendez afford a Bentley? |
