Can I exchange Amazon diapers at target?

Anonymous
I got the wrong size in my monthly subscription and don't want to have to deal with shipping something back to Amazon. Can I just go to target and exchange? Do they require a receipt? Is this at all immoral? I just want to swa0 diapers for diapers

Did you contact amazon? Do they really want you to ship them back? If it was their mistake, they may just advise you to donate them somewhere.

Different story if you actually ordered the wring size...

Yes I ordered the wrong size

Nope. The bar code is unique to stores. I went to exchange a gift I was told was bought from there and it wasn’t from Target so a no go.

No each store has a different amount of diapers in the box. They will know they don't sell the Amazon ones.

I have. Just look online to see if target has the exact same ones in the same size.

Super easy to do Amazon returns.

It’s just as easy to return to Amazon as to go to Target

I have attempted to do this when I had a variety of unopened diapers and couldn’t remember where I bought each. It was VERY difficult. You don’t need a receipt at Target, but they scan with your credit card to get the price. I went a few different times (I had about 10 packages all together that were likely from Amazon) and went to different Targets. In the end, I think I was able to get an exchange/gift card for 1, maybe 2 of them. Major PITA for not that much reward.

I would just deal with Amazon. Who knows, they may do a courtesy exchange and tell you to donate the diapers you don’t need.

I've never tried this w diapers but like a pp, tried to return a gift to target. The gift giver (my mom) said she couldn't remember where she got it but thought it was from target so I took it there. they said they do sell that item but that the particular one I had wasn't bought there so they couldn't take it. I guess they do have special barcodes so they can tell whether an item was bought there or not.

Just ask amazon. Of ten you don't have to send them back. As long as you don't do this sort of thing often.

In case you don’t know, you can ups the diapers without another box. Just afix the label to the box and give to the person at UPsS. Assuming you have a printer at work or home and some tape, super easy to return

Totally confused by this question. You purchased the diapers from Amazon, and you're trying to return them to a completely different store? You didn't buy them from Target, you bought them from Amazon. Do you typically return things to totally random stores that weren't the original point of purchase? People actually try to do this?

I actually did that and it worked. So yes it is worth a try OP, just say you don't have the receipt.
