Kids With Special Needs and Disabilities

Of course I can't find the info now - but I wanted to pass along a possible lead. I believe Bridges Public Charter School in DC still has openings for the 2009-2010 school year.
Here is a link to the school: http://www.bridgespcs.org/ It is a program for 3 and 4 YOs - AND for those who live outside DC you can pay a very reasonable tuition for a 5 day a week program. I had visited the school during an open house and was very impressed. If I was not planning on moving my child to a PreK 4 program affiliated with an elementary school next year, I would have seriously considered Bridges but I decided that moving schools 3 times in 3 years was too much. |

This is correct, Bridges does have a few openings for this year. Any 3 or 4 year old child - or even a 2 year old who will be turning 3 by 12/31/09 - is eligible to attend. This is a high quality program that provides ST/OT/PT/etc. and (because it serves children both with and without special needs) the children are not required to be potty-trained.
The class sizes average about 12-14 students per class with a minimum of 2 (though possibly 3) teachers. |
