Does Prince George already know he's a future King?

Anonymous
Has he been getting trained? Wondering how that works.

He's going to a very middle-aged man by the time he gets anywhere near the throne. Assuming the monarchy still exists by then.

Omg, isn’t he 4? I seriously doubt he knows. I bet they are trying to give him a normal childhood as possible.

Is this what is really on your mind? Let’s find something else, shall we?

I'm sure he is getting trained in how to shake hands (remember the Obama picture), how to greet people (once again, Obama picture).

I assume his training at this stage in his life is more in how to behave properly (once again, handshakes, what to say to people he meets).

He doesn't need any training on how to be adorable, though.

Yes he does know....at a 4 year old level. He knows people kow-tow to him ...he just hasn't figured out why yet. That probably comes at about age 7 or 8.

He knows that he needs to be well behaved at all times. My 4 year old isn't, most aren't. But Prince George must be. His job starts early.

Except that he isn't well behaved at all times we've seen this, and it's perfectly Okay because he's 4.

Isn't that what everyone does with their children?

Judging by the parenting threads I'm going to go with a firm no....

Yes there are a lot of pictures of him behaving like a 4 year old. It's kind of refreshing.

Imagine, years from now pictures of him in trouble will resurface.

Does he know he's a future king? Who knows.

Wasn’t William a little terror as a boy?

Of course he knows. That's part of the process of trying to normalize it for him. It doesn't need to be announced and be a big shock, and at some point he'd just figure it out anyway.

It looks to me like a lot has changed there since William and Harry were born. Neither boy was pressured to marry young, or marry within the aristocracy, and Elizabeth has stopped issuing statements on these relationships altogether.

I kind of wonder if they haven't started thinking of themselves more like rich celebrities (what the really are) than as "monarchs" in any sense, and George is just getting your standard rich kid etiquette classes.

Well, not quite. Harry doesn't matter, but William was under pressure to choose from the aristocracy and he dated those girls when he broke up with Kate (however briefly).
