DC Resident Paying to Send Child to Montgomery County Public school

I have seen posts on this board referencing paying to send a DC child to Montgomery County schools. Anyone out there doing this and willing to share the details on the process. We live right on the border of Montgomery county and are closer to that school than our DC Zoned school so we are considering this as an option.

Do a Google search or search the archives, as I know this was covered on the DCUM listserv in detail. From what I remember, there have to be available space at the target school and the principal has to give permission. The cost was approximately $10,000 for elementary school, more for high school.

I believe it is about $14,000. Go to the Somerset ES Director, and just talked to her.
