Just ordered a steak and some sides from Ruths Chris. Waiting on my order sipping some water. Bill is $77. Do I tip?? |
They'll have a slot for it, so yeah. I do it out of guilt. But somebody had to put together your order, and if you can afford $77 for one dinner, you can 3-5 for a tip. |
Give a small tip. Not 20%. I think 3-5 is fine |
I tip 10-15%. |
I give 10% for carryout. |
I do not tip for restaurant take-out. I would consider it if they got me water, but if I just pick up my order, they get no tip. |
+109 I'm old school and you never traditional tip for carry out/pick up. Delivery, yes. I just draw a line right through the tip portion and put the total. The tipping has gotten outrageous. |
I do the same |
No, of course not. I am resisting the tipping run amok trend that wealthy DCUMers want everyone to participate in. |
Yes, a few bucks, usually. |
As long as you don't go back OR don't mind spit in your food this will be fine. |
Same here. No tip if I have to get out of my car. |
Yes, without a doubt, but not a lot. I'd give $4-5. |
Nope and never will tip for carry-out. Bagging your food and handing it to you is not worthy of a tip. |
You crazy for that |
