Dr Barbara Byers or Dr Lisa Catapano?

Has anyone seen either of these psychiatrists for anxiety/med management during pregnancy? Any recent experiences?

LOVED Barbara Byers. She practically saved my life when I was going through a deep bout of postpartum anxiety. She made me feel like there was a 100% chance of me getting better and that we would find a treatment plan that would work. And it did! I'm so grateful for her.

PP here. Forgot to mention that she also helped me through a subsequent pregnancy while on meds. She knows her stuff inside and out.

NP here --- Barbara Byers is worth her weight in gold. Managed my anxiety meds before, during, and after pregnancy including weaning from some that weren't safe during pregnancy, advocating with my OB, and planning for safe breastfeeding.

I saw Dr. Catapano, but she's left the GW practice and I'm not sure where she is now. She was great, though.

Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Barbara Byers. Best person ever.

Dr. Barbara Byers is supposed to be the best, and I believe that she is. But holy moly expensive.

I recently started seeing Dr. Byers for depression. She is lovely and seems to know a lot. I do agree with PP that she is expensive, though she does provide receipts that I can submit toward a deductible. She seems to ask the right questions and always makes me feel comfortable. Good luck!
